What would be the best program to buy that will surely allow me to save photos and videos on my camera’s memory card?

We only recently discovered that the important photos were removed on the computer but the camera has been in use since so we need a really good program that will guarantee recovery … Please help!

Please Post only if you have any experience with the software.

Thanks in advance :)

I’m trying to use EasyRecovery Professional for my external hard drive which is apparently corrupt, I was wondering is it possible that running many tests could make problems worse or will it not damage the hard drive in anyway?

Thanks

About 3wks ago a gentleman answered my question about recoveing data from damaged or unformted CD’s. I forget the name, but I picked him as the best answer. Problem? My hard drive crashed and I lost the link to the website. If you are this person, be my savior once again and give it to me again. I did go to the site and bought the software, but haven’t received it, so I need to contact these guys. Thanks.

I have a Hewlett Packard media center computer and it has a problem booting up.. I heard there is a way to reinstall windows on the "factory image" partition and not lose all the data on my harddrives.. how do I find directions to do this? I have backup recovery disks (3 DVDs I burned), not a Vista installation disk.

Please provide me the name of that software.

Has anyone ever done data recovery from an (external) hard disk?
There are some service/shops that do this, even if the disk is broken in two (mine is just not working somewhere in the power connection), but I don’t know the cost.
Have anyone do it so he can tell an estimated cost?

Hi I have a macbook and I deleted a paper about 3 months ago that I now need for another class! It’s obviously long gone from the trash bin, and I’ve already tried a couple of data retrieval softwares and haven’t had any luck. I’m thinking it’s because it is a .pages file instead of a MS. Are there any softwares that can recover a .pages file?

So I broke my computer a little while back. I got a new one but I want to fix my old one up anyways. The computer support people told me to use the recovery disc. So I put it in the PC and nothing happens. Is their like a button I push to bring up the drives to boot it from the disc. Any help is appreciated.

Hard drive crashed…Local estimate for 1600.00 ouch… any suggestions? They say it is dead, ie. hardware failure.

I have limewire, all my music was there, as well as on itunes. I deleted the music files from limewire thinking it would clear some space. But now my music won’t play on itunes. How do I (if possible) recover those files from the recycle bin?

Hi All, I recently lost all my data due to my system crash. I used "get data back for NTFS" and recovered my data but i was sad when i found out almost all of my recovered files were currepted. Dear Friend

I have purchased a Laptop; Brand: SAMSUNG, MODEL: R40
While purchasing, seller provided me 2 CDs. One for driver software and another is captioned as “Samsung Recovery Solution” “Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2”.

I have formatted C drive due to malfunctioning. Now my query, will that Recovery Disc install WinXP as usual?

Appreciate, if you would come back at your earliest.

Regards
Pervez

I accidentally emptied my trash and realized too late that I really needed the files. Is there any program I can use (free preferably) that will restore my mac files?

This is Yahoo Answers backgroup history of problem:

I have reason to believe these are the safest options:

a) Remove the hard-drive, add it to another functional unit and transfer all the data to external portable hard-drive. Once data is secured, then do a complete re-install of operating system on problem computer.

b) Create Windows startup disk, use disk at startup effectively bypassing the "broken" startup files. Once into computer, manually move important data to external portable hard-drive.
http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10877_11-6031733.html (Option #1)

Does this second option risk any further problems or loss of data??? I can’t risk the loss of any data.

What is my safest option? I am under no time-contraints to do either option. Either action would be performed by knowledgable computer techie.

Any additional comments or things to be aware of?

It is my first time to install the windows vista since I bought this used laptop and I want to reinstall the windows and I don’t have any CD’s. I want to install from my acer aspire laptop recovery drive.

I had multiple Word-files open in Microsoft Office 2008 on a Mac, and I closed them individually. I saved the ones I needed, and for the last one that I didn’t need I chose "don’t save".

Now it turns out that I really needed the one I didn’t save! It still exists, only in the "old" version - before I worked on it.

Is there any way to restore the changes I made to it?

I currently have no real time protection running on my pc but I would like to know what is a real trust worthy security program to have on a pc without it slowing down. Is Norton Internet Security one that works well?
