If you haven’t been using your computer or not creating and copying files to the drive that the files were on, you may have a chance to recover them. If you really need the files and would do whatever it takes to try to get them back, then do the following:
Best Results way (avoids any more overwriting of files):
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Move the hard disk and put it in another computer that already has a hard disk and Operating System on.
3. Boot from that OS.
4. Download and Install a recovery software, from stellar phoenix , choose the one for your OS.

5. Use it to scan the partition of the Hard drive which your files are supposed to be recovered from
6. Recover the files to another partition.
If you want a simpler way,
from step 4, try to do everything on another partition (download of Program and location of installation).. scan then recover files to another partition.
Yes, you still can try to recover your files with Easy Drive Data Recovery software:

It uses unique modern algorithms to recover files that other software either recovers incorrectly or is unable to detect.
You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, it all depends on what has happened since the files were deleted.
When you delete files the data itself isn’t deleted, just the index entry that tells the system where the data for those files is located. The area containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new files to be written there instead.
If and when that happens, then it is too late to recover your deleted files so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned.
One of the easiest ways to see if you can recover deleted files is to try some good file recovery software.
There are 2 different programs I use to recover files I have deleted and emptied from the recycle bin. Usually at least one of them will work in recovering the files you have lost. They are both free programs.
Recuva – http://www.piriform.com/recuva
Disk Digger - http://dmitrybrant.com/diskdigger

It depends on how long ago you deleted the file. The chance of successfully recovering a deleted file decreases proportionally as the length of time you deleted the file grows. Thankfully, there is a free utility that you can try that will help you recover the deleted file, if it’s still recoverable (link below). The application currently only works on Windows. If this happened on a Linux or Macintosh machine, then there is very little chance of recovery as the file systems for those operating systems work differently than a Microsoft operating system.
There is certainly a way to recover deleted files, and that is through utilization of Kernel for Undelete available at http://www.nucleustechnologies.com/Deleted-File-Recovery-Software.html
This is a specifically designed tool to recover completely deleted files even deleted from the recycle bin. Try the free evaluation version first and if it works for you, then purchase the full version to save the recovered data.
