I accidentally deleted a powerpoint presentation from my usb when I was trying to delete a virus from it - it didn’t go to the recycle bin - how can I recover it!? please help!

Files deleted on a separate partition like a USB drive wont go to the recycle bin of another partition such as a hard drive; it will be deleted. Unless your USB had a recycle bin, there is no way to get your information back. Always make at least 3 copies of a file if it is very important.
Yes, it is very possible to recover deleted or lost files from a USB drive even though deleting files (or losing them in this case) misses out the recycle bin.
You’ll need to look at file recovery software. There’s loads out there.
