I bought compaq computer model# sr2050nx, when I creating system recovery discs, need two dvd discs to copy whole thing, when I copy the first disc is ok, and then copy the second disc, get error message, need the other disc, so I take out the second disc, and then put the other new empty disc to continues to copy, after copy complete, I want to try recovery disc is work or not, the first disc is empty no any data in the first disc, but second one have data, so if the computer have any problem, the system recovery disc is not work, I want to re-copy system recovery discs, but we have message say a set of recovery discs has been created for this pc only one set is allowed per pc. who can help me how to re-copy system recovery discs, we try to call hp for support and services, but they told us no any method to copy an other set.

Theres a build in System recovery on windows vista should that work or should i get the CD.

I don’t want to use those expensive third party recovery programs. I know some people create system recovery programs by using the basic windows xp programs, not the third party utility programs. I don’t want to use system restore. I only want to create a system recovery disc by using the basic windows xp program. So, can anyone please tell me how?

I did a system recovery on my windows xp and usually all the vids etc that I downloaded and my desktop come back. This time it didn’t, and I did all the same stuff. Also I know that I didn’t accidentally use a destructive version because all of the programs I downloaded still have icons on my start menu, which doesnt happen with the destructive one. Does anyone know how I can get my stuff back?

My little brother deleted all of my programs and files from my computer. Of course, he also deleted them from the recycle bin. Is there a way to recover them?

My PC won’t boot up, and a sytem recovery has to be done in order to fix this problem. There are a lot of personal things like pictures and music that i like to save, but a system recovery deletes all data, and installs only the software that the PC began with. I really don’t want to lose what I have on the HDD. Is there a way around this?

I think I might have downloaded a virus. So after doing a system recovery all was well so I thought. I have my computer set with different accounts for each family member (My son,wife and myself). My account and my sons account are fine. My wifes account lost all her files, pics and videos. She was using the administrator account.
