I know I should have stopped using the pc after I deleted the the video files and tried to use a free recovery software, but at the time I really wanted to delete them permanently. But only now I realize how important they were! I mean, even if I take my PC to a professional or buy a recovery software, is there ANY way I can get my files back? I really wanted to do it myself and for free, though.

what is the best software to recover my deleted video files? is there such a program?

Particularly FLV (Flash Video) files. I’ve downloaded them from Youtube through KeepVid and I need them back! Most file recovery softwares don’t support this format! Can you please recommend a freeware undelete software which can save me? (No demos or sharewares, please. I want one that can detect AND recover the files for me) Thank you so much!

I deleted 10gb of video files by mistake. later on I captured another 2gb of video file … I tried File Scavenger recovery program and was expecting to see SOME of my deleted video files since 2gb shouldn’t cover up the 10gb … however, I don’t see any of my deleted video files .. does anyone know how I can get some of my 10gb video files back?

For some reason the option in the recycle bin was check to automaticly delete files instead of moving them to the recycle bin. I had a project I was working on in Windows Movie Maker and I was saving the complete movies as the same file name as the move maker projects. So, there were some corrections I had to make to the movie file so I made them and to save the video files as the same name again you have to delete the original ones. Well when I went to delete the original movie files, I click on the wrong folders and deleted half of my movie project files, and instead of going to the recycle bin, they were deleted completely off the computer. So now I can’t go back and save the corrcetions to the movie files. Is there any way to recover the deleted files? I already tried a system restore, but the system restore does’nt recover deleted files.

I have picture and video files that were deleted a few weeks ago and I’ve been trying to find a very good software that can restore those deleted files. So far, the few softwares that I have downloaded couldn’t restore the videos from my camera because the file size was too large. It would be great if there is a free software though, but I haven’t found a good one yet. Thank You!
